Happy Boxing Day!

Time to pull out the left-overs for Boxing Day and celebrate the more relaxed part of Christmas with those loved ones maybe not seen the day prior. I don't know about you, but I love to pull Christmas Crackers with others anytime the occasion musters - New Year's Eve being another perfect opportunity for that perfect little BANG to ring in the year! I always liked finding the jokes inside and putting on the tissue paper party hats that would invariably break over my noggin'!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas Day! We had a fabulous time with the "kids" back in Colorado — with a long drive there and back — but are back here in KY now.... and enjoying having our doggie back now that we can take him with us to the office, etc. So nice. His Scottie cuteness definitely inspired my bunny! Brendel even wears a very dapper sweater when outside right now too. :)

Happy Christmastide! Thanks to any of you who found the time in the midst of holidays to render anything at all...especially such a hard challenge. Sorry about that. Not sure what I was thinking there! The next one might be a bit easier..or not, as the case may be. Remember, just an object will work for it. One doesn't have to depict an entire scene, if hurried. Thanks again for all your efforts. It's certainly hard finding the time during what is actually meant to be downtime!

    1. Oh that is such a sweet scribble! I haven't pulled one of those crackers in such a long time, inevitably the cardboard strip thingy always fell out of them lol!

  4. So glad you made it back home safely and with your little Scottie. Christmas is a wonderful family time of year albeit very busy and tiring. We had a wonderful Christmas as well so now it is on to "Happy New Year!". This year has flown so fast, I am almost stunned that it will be 2019 in a week. Love your rendition of "Bang" so cute and as always well done. I have hopes of getting in on next weeks "New Years Party" ... already have some ideas bouncing around in my head. Sorry I couldn't make it to this weeks picnic and I have all but given up on fixing blogger. I have tried everything I know and some things I don't even understand and nothing. It is hard not being able to hear from anyone. So I will plod on until I find someone who can fix it for me. Meanwhile, I intend to continue posting and following our picnic as it is one of the highlights of my life :) Thank you for a wonderful year of art and fun, Micheal ... you and Alexandra are the best!

So sorry you have all those blogger issues. Have you considered perhaps trying out a new template altogher? Might be worth a shot.

  6. Happy New Year to you, Michael and all my fellow artsy pals on Scribble Picnic! I'm incorporating this theme sketch in with my upcoming Monday's Mewsic Moves Me post, so hopefully y'all get a chance to take a peek and if not, no worries!

As for your illustration, it's just adorable! My imagination was a bit limited with the prompt. Maybe next time my brain can stretch a bit more. *cross fingers* Y'all have a safe and happy New Year's Eve celebration and may God bless you throughout 2019!

    1. Thank you so much, Cathy. You too!

It was a hard prompt for sure so with that, I've made the new one now more generic - HOLIDAY Party!
