Variety is the spice of life and every entry is so appreciated. Yours has a soft and dreamy quality to it so be thrilled as I am for you! As i often say, it's the process of excercising one's right side of the brain that counts and even if simply a scribble, unfinished, even that will have done the job. You did more that that!! Thank you again and so glad you, like Alex, got yours under the wire to add to the mix here. :) Like her too, there is always tomorrow to visit people. for me, I did mine in three stages between other things. All caught up now...unless someone adds something between now and midnight! :)Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17712046924863763290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5121812607429910170.post-43110696191650026462017-03-01T21:30:45.086-08:002017-03-01T21:30:45.086-08:00OOh, well, if you aren't off to some exotic lo...OOh, well, if you aren't off to some exotic locale somewhere, we would so love to have you join the picnic again, Mary! And yes, it was a big surprise when I saw the name there! Loved it. Also, while regular photos are not part of the collective, other forms or media are whenever one is creative with it involving some process as you have done with you and as commented there. I love how you found a way to combine the things you love in to a creative piece and actually coloured it. Thank you so much for that and for highlighting this picnic. If some of your visitors want to join in for the next theme, Umbrellas, by all means! Woudl lvoe to see what they bring to the picnic! thank you again.

Oh, and while I did not make anything special tongiht to experiment with, I did have some left over baked veg that was even better the second night, although, admittedly nothing fancy to look at but the looks were deceiving as it was actually pretty good! :) Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17712046924863763290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5121812607429910170.post-61636082032954982842017-03-01T21:25:11.685-08:002017-03-01T21:25:11.685-08:00The moon reminds you of Oregon? But I know you always like to see my potting shed - so here's another view.
Love your art and the accompanying story. I also wanted to use my entry as a way to introduce this fun Wednesday group of artists to my blog readers. I know some of them are very creative and will perhaps join in.

Hope you're cooking something tasty tonight!
Hugs - Mary

P.S. And yes, as mentioned to Linda above, that connection to the earth through the smoke was deliberate, almost as if the smoke and the clouds on earth were one and the same. So, your idea works in some emotional connection way, if not mystical too.
