Love across the miles
It's Scribble Picnic time once again and this time as far flung as Across the Universe! When your love is strong, vibrant, and your connection deep, the miles between you can fade away where even if you can't call, there's always the power of imagination! :) Love knows no bounds.
So, how far flung did you throw your picnic blanket this week? Let's find out! (Oh, and yes, I still plan to visit everyone from last week's Opera so will be making double the rounds this week. Sorry to have kept everyone waiting there. Speaking of which, my Viking hamster is still not complete but I did go back and re-imagine it to something possibly more engaging.)

That is very sweet Michael :) Your sketch is wonderful! I love the "telephones" :)
ReplyDeleteIt's very true about love :) Alex and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary today and I'm doubly celebrating the end of spring cleaning lol! I hope I can get some painting done today I have some ideas about this week's theme! :)
Your Spring cleaning beats anyone else's I;ve known or heard of! Wow. Soooo impressed, Rain. Thank you. Luckily, for Alexandra and I, we can text through the day. :)
DeleteThanks :) I never want to do it again lol...I made it! Got a painting done today, it felt great! :)
DeleteSo glad you can still walk! :)
DeleteGosh if this is not the most romantic piece Michael. It shows how much you are missing Alexandra, I hope FaceTime and phone calls help. Aww.
ReplyDeleteI really love how you have depicted our infinite universe with uncountable stars.
DeleteHaha, yes indeed, but unlike this two hedgies, we CAN call and do but actually more often than not, text a lot through the day. :) It's a sacrifice of love for both of us her being there to help her fam in KY! :) Thank you so much.
DeleteYes, took ages to depict all that. I could have traveled half way there by the time I aas done! Hahaha.
DeleteOh Micheal, you are a true Romantic ... I love this piece, just the idea of it. Your depiction of space is beautiful ... did you really make all of those stars? My eyes would be crossing :)

Yes, pretty much most of them and that's why I was up until 1:30 this morning, having started at 7:00 pm last night! Oy! Tired now and taking another tea break to wake up! thank you so much, Andrea. Yes, I think I've got the romantic sidefairly down pat. Ha. I was thinking of Alex being away in KY helping her fam there for the next few months but we call and text each other often anyway.
DeleteMy son used to skype his wife when she was home with her family ... now they both have iphones so they can face to face call on them. And we also have "What's Ap" which is interned on our phones and we can face to face from Thailand free. Sorry you are apart, I know how hard that is. But, the time will fly and Alex will be back before you know it. Be well ...

The power of love is unimaginably big, like the universe.
ReplyDeleteI love all your stars and planets and swirling lines.
Than you, Tammie.
DeleteI think this is so imaginative and sweet. Reminds me of the scene in Apollo 13 when he's in the capsule looking down on the Earth and she's in the house looking up to the sky through the window. Of course, they couldn't communicate, but there was a communication of the heart and spirit. Aren't we so lucky to have technology at hand to keep us in touch with those we love.
ReplyDeleteWE are totally lucky to have technology now. Yes! I do like that scene you are talking about. True. Thakn you so much.
DeleteMagnificent illustration, Michael...I love it! The white, swirly lines seem to give off a sense of distance...great universe colours! And yes, definitely apt for this week with Alexandra away...I'm sure you miss her but thank goodness for modern technology. Not to mention the passing of one of the world's great Physicists, Stephen Hawking. I hope to be back on board from next week and hopefully I can get some of the ideas I've had for the prompts over the past few weeks down on paper too. I want to kick this pain and depression to the kerb.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your week. :)
By the way, I did comment on your previous posts so you may want to check out your old email address or go to your Comments section on Blogger to approve them.
DeleteWill do!
DeleteI hope you feel up to snuff again soon, dear Serena. Thank you and for the other comments as well. so thoughtful of you.
DeleteOh and, yes, technology def helps! Wish I had had that when I moved to America! not that my fam was technically savvy or is even so now! hahaha.
DeleteWhat a creative idea, the tin can communication across the sky-love it! Aww, the moon is outside her window, and I do believe that dot outside his capsule window (nearest his nose) is the earth. SO many stars... I don't know how you knew when to stop with them!
ReplyDeletenot sure that;s the earth, but sure! :) I was thinking a little further afield perhaps. Thank you so much.
DeleteGREAT JOB! You always seem to really make the theme of the week look so good in your work.
ReplyDeleteAw, that's so nice of you to say, dear Pam. Thank you very much. This one practically did me in ...and I still see how I would do it differently if doing it again! ha.
DeleteAnother darling capture of the theme. Is your work digital? It's so perfect in every way. I love your little hedgehogs and the bottom circle is so sweet. Your universe is magnificent. Love the swirls and stars....this is so sweet and whimsical.
ReplyDeletethis is lovely. I like those patterns of the galaxy, quite colorful I might say. I really like the bow in her hair, it really makes it seems so normal, so down to earth.
ReplyDeletesadly, I haven't gotten around to do any piece for this theme or the next ones. I think I'm failing somehow, by not doing more art but that's that. sometimes ideas come and sometimes there's none.
have a lovely day.
I like the outer space in your picture!
