A Picnic full of hearts

Hello, bloggers and fellow artists! I've been really absent here, haven't I? Still need to go visit everyone for the Market entries last time around which I will likely not get to, unfortunately, until this Saturday, actually. We are about to take off to San Antonio for an art suppliers tradeshow Alex has been invited to, as she was last year.

Below, is the sign in for our Hearts entry. I'm not going to be able to contribute this time around but will visit you all the same time I go back and catch up on those markets! As this itself is going up late, the deadline has been extended to tomorrow (21st) night. Hope that helps.

I'm terribly sorry to be so flaky as of late - too many things going on as well as some quite unexpected developments over this weekend that I have needed to contend with.

See you back here in a few days!

P.S. I will need to give us three weeks (March 13th) for the next sign up as am going to be out until mid next week. No idea for the theme so I'm all ears to any suggestions you guys might like to explore. Any? How are you too with such annoyances as delays like this? Thank you for your honest feedback! Wish I could be more present but things will settle down at someone point...if you can wait that long! Anyway, I'll post something on the side bar upon my return. Thanks again.

  1. How about 'spring' as a theme idea. Enjoy San Antonio, we are here for you Michael, even if you should want to take a little break from SP it's fine too, life happens.

  2. I know too well how life gets in the way of things. Been preparing for a new grandchild and two baby showers here which kept me away the last couple of weeks. Good to be back though. Hope you have a wonderful trip to San Antonio and that things work out for you. Spring sounds like a good theme to me too.

  3. I totally understand, Michael...life gets crazy busy at times. I hope you and Alexandra have a great time in San Antonio!

I haven't been up to doing much of anything online since my precious doggy pal of 12 years died on February 4th. He had been battling Cushing's Disease. Cody was my little shadow and I miss him terribly. I've also had a few other hard knocks of late but hope to be back on board soon. I'm just not in the right head-space at the moment, sorry. I've barely been online at all. :(

  4. just when I finally able to join again, there's only a small audience but it's okay, more food for the rest of us.

as for idea of themes, how about a free for all? we pick our own theme or invent a theme.

    have a lovely day.

  5. I've been checking in on the Picnics, but finally realized I hadn't actually participated since December's "Favorite Things"–oops! So, I definitely understand your challenge of keeping up lately. Life just takes us in all directions. You'll see on my entry what my best distraction has been lately! ;-)

Suggestions–Gems... Cactus... Meow... Potato... Cake... On the Road...

    1. Wow, that is a long time, Jolene, and I'll be sure to FINALLY check out your piece. Was so inundated there for a while.

I love your suggestions! So, would you be willing to jump back in if we got this started again?

  6. Well I can certainly understand things getting out of hand and the need to delay or arrive late. I seem to make a habit of it especially with our precious picnic. This week I came and no one was there ... then I came back and still no one was there so I went about my business and forgot to come back when, obviously, someone was there. So, as what seems to be becoming my new normal, I posted, but wasn't able to link, so if you want to come over to my blog, you will see my hearts.
San Antonio ... how awesome and some warm weather along with a fun art supplies trade show. I am envious and glad for you at the same time and with Alexandria along it will be the perfect holiday. Be safe and have fun ... and for sure I will see you on March 13th (Maybe I shouldn't say "for sure" as I haven't been very reliable of late). My mind started racing when you asked for ideas ... oh my there are so many choices it is hard to hone in on any one subject, but as I am an animal lover I would probably go for something like your favorite animal (or bird), a pet from your past or something on that order. I hope those matters that you had to contend with are in the past and you can move on to bigger and better things ... Be well, Micheal and enjoy.

    1. I love the idea of an animal for one suggestion, Andrea. Sorry for being so flaky there towards the break. Back now and ready to go if the rest of you are. :)

  7. Micheal,

I missed joining your linky party. I came by Wednesday morning and then later in the day but it wasn't showing. Might I ask why you close it so soon? I got busy with blog visits after than and forgot to check back but that's the way it goes. Anywho, I did contribute and if you're interested in seeing what I shared then you'll find here! Thanks for the heads up on SP resuming in three weeks. As for a theme, I like Christine's suggestion of spring. Have a good week!

    1. I would keep up the sign in for one day as I like us all to "meet" the same time, but often would extend it to 3:00am or so for people in other time zones.
