Creative Tuesdays: Journey
Sorry, this had to be far more rushed than to my liking and, unlike I usually do (where everything is created from imagination), this was actually started from a photo taken a few days back of some of the colourful homes spotted in Notting Hill, London. Using that as my base, I sketched this out very loosely, adding in embellishments like the bicycle for imaginary neighbourhood journeys and such. :) As it was, I funnily enough, almost finished this up on another journey—a train ride—as we headed back to Yorkshire once again with one son dropped off and the other staying with us for a wee bit longer.
There's so much more to write about but for now, let's leave it at this. I started working today (remotely) as well so this has been a plenty long day and night already.
See you over on Creative Tuesdays. I'm looking forward to those blog visit trips as well, you know. :)

Really beautiful work Michael, very European scene! Mine is set to post Tuesday morning! Thanks for hosting from England!
ReplyDeleteYeah, one person so far! You are the best, Christine. thank you.
ReplyDeletegreat image! i agree with Christine...very European with the bicycle. can't wait to see and hear more of your travels.
ReplyDeletei worked for more than 12 years remotely. it was fun, and a little lonely. i loved working in casual clothes but missed talking with my co-workers on a daily basis.
You know, I feel the same way too and am only on day 2, but I have been checking email from my phone. It get's rather lonely up in this bedroom and not super comfy while living out of a suitcase, essentially. Still, the price one pays..., right? :)
ReplyDeleteI like the blue hue - sets off the bicycle and the white of the door frames - it's beautiful.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
Thank you for checking in, Lissa. Hope to see more back here next prompt! the houses really were these colours! :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things to do when traveling is walk the old neighborhoods, admiring the architecture and doorways. A wonderful sketch with lovely shades of blue.
ReplyDeleteMine too. This one was easy as I had a photo to use for reference and the colours really were like this. Usually I like to do stuff totally from imagination but sometimes the ideal is right on front of one! Thank you, Tammy, for your visit! :)
