Scribble Picnic: CLASSIC!

Well, we are back...and it's a classic! I wonder what each of you came up with?

My initial thought was something or someone with "classic style" as shown in my Pinterest board of the same name. Then whilst we had Alex's step dad ("Pops") and "Mumsie" here (which went great), we happened to be in old town twice during different car shows whereupon I snapped photos with one being somewhat similar to this kind of car but silver instead. So, all that to say, here's my fun take on a 1960's AC Shelby Cobra. Not that I really know anything about cars or am a gear head but I do appreciate classic design in its various forms... and it just happens that this is an Anglo American car, as it turns out. :)

I hope everyone enjoyed their creative break. So glad we had that as there was no way I would have had time to add anything to Scribble Picnic. Now, I just need a break from my break. Hahah.

Can't wait to see what all of you have done and have already spotted a few very clever takes on our theme this week. Speaking of which, our new themes will be up Thursday.

As always, thank you for playing along. Whilst you're at it, let me know how your creative break went. I'd love to hear.

Not sure the Linky thing is correct - had to do it differently today - perhaps it's changed!

  3. Thanks for helping Michael out...but I can't seem to make the link work. Won't let me go to the policy page to read and enter. But I do have my entry posted on my blog.

    1. I really did, didn;t I? Hahah. It took a long time to draw this one! lol. not nearly as fast as this car probably goes. but, hey, it's done! Isn't that crazy that, we had three weeks, and I did it on the day itself? Oy. Last night, I was so tried, I actually fell asleep on the bed around 6:30 pm.
      Thank you.

  8. Me again! Oooh I'd love to drive one of those Shelby's - I had a boyfriend in England who was building one around 1961 - and then I emigrated so never saw it finished! Great rendering here Michael - but who's the driver?

So happy your 'family time' went so well - I know you and A must have shown them everything in your beautiful area of the country.

    Get your rest now!
    Hugs - Mary

P.S. Cassie sent me new pix of the little boys today as I've not seen them for a while - wow are they cute and growing so fast! She's all excited regarding our plans for August!

  11. Lovely classic car! My first thought was to try to a car too - specifically a '65 Mustang. Light Yellow with black interior. Had a lot of memories in that car. Yours looks memorable too!
