WET dog!

Perfect weather these last few days and more rain and thunderstorms expected through the week! Makes for a poor Scottie though, let me tell you. Brendel, our doggie, gets so prissy when having to go outside in the rain. Poor chap.

I think this piece would work well as a "Thinking of You" card, and to think it only took me 10 minutes to sketch up and paint. His eye isn't exactly as I wanted—the paint blob was too big—but other than that, I love it when things just click. The idea of it, anyway.

OK, time to see what the rest of you did for this "Wet" Creative Tuesday challenge....

  1. No lie, but when you said this challenge I very nearly drew two cartoon wet dogs, of our dogs.

Love your drawing. Well done and boogie boogie.

    1. Those would not have been stick figures, but they would be cartoons. Love cartoons, love stick figures, love drawing. People call it low art, and to me, that just means, fun.

As soon as I saw this I smiled. Our dog, Snowball, looks rather put out in the rain too. And that eye gives the perfect look of sustain saying, "You did this to me!" Thx again for challenge.
    Blessings,
    Janis

  6. 10 minutes? Wow! I love your rendition of "Brendel", and I think you captured his eye beautifully. For sure this would make an awesome "Thinking of You" card. My pooches don't appreciate the rain either. Looking forward to the next challenge, Michael. :-)

    1. Yes, seriously. Way less than my usual 8 hour foray or so. That last biscuit one took me about 16 hours or so. I needed to make up time. :)

    2. I can believe it took you 16 hours. I put in a lot of hours too. I'm afraid to keep track. :-)

  9. Wonderful little painting, although he does look a little miffed! We are enduring our second day of gales with intermittent thrashing rain, so if I had got my act together our weather would have been appropriate. Sorry Michael, this is the first one I have missed, time ran away with me I'm afraid, but I will visit everyone else. This retirement m'larky really does seem to take up a lot of time!!

  11. Ahhhhhh, so cute! I love the look in his eyes, super moody and mad at the world. Makes me think of "Grumpy Cat" of web fame. Also of "Charlie Brown," what with the raincloud that follows him everywhere. Love it! Wonderful work as always ^_^ Sorry this comment is so belated!
