Creative Tuesdays: Gingerbread Gingerbread House

Since I knew I'd not have as much time as liked on this theme, I decided to take a simpler approach for a card of sorts -- a Christmas Gingerbread Igloo Xmas tree decoration! The baubles are meant to represent silver ball embellishments inside the piping but didn't quite work out. Well, at least I got it done!

Now, time to see what the rest of you put up, with Lissa already leading the way. Thank you.

BTW, the new CT theme is up, so be sure to check that out! :)

  2. Yes, I think I am rather stretching the definition of a gingerbread house, I ralise, but that is what came to mind and it does show a house and gingerbread! Lol. Thank you. And yes, I wanted it to be VERY simple and clean. :) Thanks Christine. Need to check out your piece...later, when my work is all done. :)

  4. an igloo is a house so it make sense for the theme. I would probably add some more elements to make more colorful but that's me. I do like the all white on dark color. the snowflakes are wonderful.

    have a lovely day.

  5. A Christmas Gingerbread Igloo! Very cute and unexpected this is awesome. It makes me think of a linocut or woodcut. I love it (-:

  6. Michael, sorry I couldn't make it happen this time. In the past couple of months, we've had two funerals, 1 wedding and a 80th Birthday for a friend. I'm feeling my age, and had to get some Christmas baking done. I hope January will bring a new surge of inspiration for my art.
    Love and Hugs...
