Time for another creative picnic and this time under a TREE! Which season would you prefer here? I'm thinking it would be fun to sit under all those falling leaves...or maybe even try to catch some!
Oh Michael, this is so fantastic, such a great idea for the theme, and covers all the seasons under a majestic oak tree, always my favorite tree. I think I would like to picnic on a perfect English summer afternoon, I remember how they were so delightful as a child, and of course there were never any mosquitoes to ruin the occasion! I could swing in the sunshine perhaps nibbling on a cheddar cheese and watercress sandwich, then sprawl on a blanket with a slice of that Victoria sponge you would tempt me with, ha-ha! Your art for this piece is truly stunning and I really like the addition of the circular frame with type and acorns. Raleigh is known as the City of Acorns - we do have a lot of them, many right outside my window here. Happy week to you and Alexandra. I'll be missing the next couple of weeks but see you here when I return from Sicily! Hugs, Mary
Good morning That's a great way to show the seasons. For my cover of my new book for caregivers of those with dementia called I Remember The Seasons, I looked up at the different times of year through the foliage. Thx again for wonderful #ScribbkePicnic. I love the little kite. Blessings Janis
Love it! What a clever way to portray the 'tree' theme, Michael. We only really experience two seasons here in the sub-tropics...a long, hot and very humid summer or a short, mild winter. I'll go with our winter.
Beautiful! Wow! I think I would chose fall, the air then is the best, but of course spring is pretty perfect right now too! Btw, (my first link messed up so I added a second)
Quite striking Michael. Creative too. Some how seems perfect for earth day, because of all the seasons. The swing is inviting. Such a perfect place to sit.
I think I favorite autumn or rather the trees during that season. this is lovely with all the seasonal changes. and the added kite and swing adds fun to the piece.
Love seeing all four seasons on one tree, and beautifully done!
I prefer not to be cold, so always look forward to Spring and Summer. Of course it ends up being really hot by the end of Summer, so I'm ready for a break from that. But, Autumn brings seasonal allergies for me, so then I look forward to Winter! Then it's cold... :-) Really, I'm just thankful to live where we have all four seasons, each with its own beauty.
Oh this is wonderful. I love your tree for all seasons. And all of the detail - even the difference in the clouds above and the ground below. Wow! What a meaningful piece.
Dear Sweet Michael.....this it not only a tree of seasons, but your beautiful depiction, tells me of the season of my life. I was young, and green and excited about life and marriage and children. Then Spring came..and it was children, ministry, work, laughter and tears, then Fall came, and I lost my parents and life slowed down a little...and now in the winter, I can look back and see that God was in all the seasons...guiding, helping energizing, and loving me. What will winter bring.....I don't know but I'm excited to see. Love you Michael and your art and inspiration each week.
Thank you everyone for you comments! I have replied to all of you on your own blogs. Lovely comments. BTW, the new themes are up for the weeks, should you want to see those.
